June 1 is National Trails Day, and the kickoff to Love Maine Trails month! To celebrate, we plan to establish a new connector trail and therefore open the newly-protected public trails on the Davis Parcel in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. We'll hang maps and signs along the trails, too. The Davis Parcel is just north of Cross Hill, and this trail loop will connect to the extensive, existing trail systems on this side of town.
Let’s meet by the trailhead at the end of Tiger Lily Lane (between 22 and 23 Tiger Lily Lane, Cape Elizabeth), and we can walk into the new trail access point from there. We will bring some rakes, signage, work gloves, and some screws, but certainly feel free to bring a drill if you have one to help install the new trail signs, or any other tools you may have.
