SUBMITTING YOUR EVENT

Eligible EventS

Is your organization hosting an event in Maine that focuses on outdoor recreation? Use Maine Trail Finder's calendar to help promote your event to people who love getting outdoors!

The kinds of events that can be submitted to the calendar range from group outings to races, trail maintenance to presentations, skill building workshops to family fun activities.  

All events must be open to the public and take place in Maine (even if your organization is not based here).

Fee and free events are both welcome, and you can include an external link or contact information for participants to register.

PROCESS

You will need a free user account before you can submit events to the calendar. Create an account (or Log in), and then go to the Submit Event page. Please input as much information as you have available about your event, noting that all fields with a red asterisk are required.

• If the event repeats with the same parameters (time, location, etc.), please check that box and describe the schedule. We will set up the event series for you. 
• Photos are a great way to catch people's attention, so please include one if you are able (up to three are permitted).
• Event Location section: The Venue/Site Name and Town fields will be visible to calendar users. The Address field is to help you map the event location and will not be visible. If you are unsure of the exact street address, you can use something generic, or if the location is TBD, you can use an office address or the middle of town.  After you've input the event location's address and town, please be sure to click the "Map This Address" button and adjust the pin as needed to determine the correct spot. 

Once you have submitted your event, site administrators will review and approve the event for view on the public calendar. To edit the details of your approved event, contact us.
