Please join the Freeport Conservation Trust in polishing up the Harvey Brook trails. This trail is part of our 2023 trail challenge so we’ll be sprucing it up for this more-than-usual amount of use this summer and fall. There has been a few decent wind storms since we last scouted it, so in addition to the usual trailside trimming and picking up fallen branches, there will likely be a blowdown or two (2-person cross-cut saw anyone?). FCT will bring the usual arsenal of tools – loppers, Fiskars, pole saws, bigger saws – but bring your own favorite if you have one, along with gloves and water. We’ll meet at the parking area at the end of Young’s Lane and hike in from there. Thank you!
