Learn about deciduous and coniferous trees at the Moses Woodman Preserve! We will identify trees and shrubs using leaves, bark, and other features. This walk will be led by Saco Valley Land Trust Event and Outreach Organizer, Abby Wilson, plus board members and a local forester.
We may also discuss land conservation, look for wildflowers, and observe birds and other wildlife. Total distance covered will be about 1.5 miles with some hills, bridges, and uneven terrain.
Depending on conditions, you may need to wear boots for muddy walking. Bring a tree field guide as reference, or download your favorite nature ID app! Water and snacks are also encouraged. This property has limited parking off the road, but you can park on the shoulder if needed. Please consider carpooling.
We hope to see you at the Woodman Preserve on July 9th!
