Join us at the Highland Research Forest for a morning learning how to build bog bridges. Any wet space along a trail can be easily eroded and rutted with foot traffic and benefits from a raised plank for folks to walk across, protecting the landscape (and your boots...) Retired from the National Park Service, our LEA volunteer will lead us through the designation, design, materials use and construction of a beautiful new bridge across a small seep in the woods, protecting the water and the forest floor.
