Description

Located on Fourth Street Extension, this Old Town municipal park offers a little bit of something for everyone. A boat ramp near the parking area provides river access to the historic Penobscot River and green space along the shore offers a scenic setting for picnics, small family gatherings and quiet reading or sunbathing. The North Fourth Street Trail starts next to the old Waterworks Building and continues along the Penobscot River before heading away from the river to end at ME-43/Gilman Falls Avenue. Visitors may cross ME-43 to continue onto the trails in the DeMerrit University Forest.
