A cooperative project of Freeport Conservation Trust and the Casco Bay YMCA, the trail passes over hills and boardwalks to the marshy shore of the Cousins River. Side trails lead to/from Lambert Road and the Freeport Inn and Cafe.
The trail starts uphill and then goes into the woods and flattens out before climbing another hill. The tree markings are clear, and elevated walkways have been installed where there is mud or a wet area. Dogs are allowed off leash here, but please clean up after your pet.
