The Crooked River Forest at Intervale contains more than a mile of frontage along the Crooked River, the main tributary to Sebago Lake, with trails that explore the woods and lead to the River.

Description

From the parking area, the Intervale Trail leads 0.6 miles to the Crooked River. 0.2 miles from the parking lot, the Evergreen Trail breaks off from the Intervale Trail, heading through mixed woods, for 1.2 miles to the southern boundary of the property. The Fluvial Brewing Connector Trail (winter access only) breaks off from the Intervale Trail to the west, leading 0.5 miles to the brewery.

Please note that in the winter part of the walking trails are also used by snowmobiles; please use caution.

Dispose of Waste Properly
Wash your dishes at least 200 feet away from water sources, use biodegradable soap sparingly, and scatter the dishwater.

Trailhead Information

From ME-35 between Naples and Harrison, head east on Buck Road (a right if driving north from Naples; a left if driving south from Harrison). Go 1.1 miles on Buck Road then turn left on Edes Farm Road. Go 1.5 miles and turn right on Maple Ridge Road. Go another 1.5 miles to Scribner's Mill Road, and turn right. The preserve is 0.7 miles down Scribners Mills Road on the right.

From Otisfield to the east, the preserve is 0.5 miles west from the bridge crossing the Crooked River.
