CSF North trails are mostly in the woods and feel relatively remote despite the proximity to downtown Brunswick. A few access trails follow the edge of active agricultural fields which are leased. Please stay on trails when adjacent to agricultural areas.
On the south side of Pleasant Hill Road, 2.5 of miles of hiking and cross-country ski trails circle around active agricultural areas, meander through woods, and cross a large blueberry barren. Since pasture and agricultural fields are leased, trail users should stay on marked trails in these areas.
Hunting is allowed by permission only. Hikers should be aware that hunters may be present during hunting season and take appropriate precautions, such as wearing blaze orange. The farmhouse and farm buildings adjacent to the parking area are leased privately and are not part of the trail system. Please respect the privacy of their inhabitants. Bikes are also not allowed on the trails.
Dogs are allowed on the trails but are required to be leashed (6ft or less) to prevent impacts on livestock and conflicts with farm animals. Please respect these rules to ensure the continued safety of people and animals, and to protect the conservation values of this property. Thank you for your cooperation!
This trail passes through a property that was acquired in part with funds from the Land for Maine’s Future program. For more information about the LMF program and the places it has helped to protect, please visit the LMF webpage.
