Description

The Indian Point Trail winds through the woods, over bog bridges down to a crest overlooking the Union River. The path continues to a scenic point along the Union River with several picnic benches. The views up and down the Union River make this an ideal spot for a hiker’s picnic or a break from work. Watch for occasional river otters swimming by and across the river, where eagles and ospreys can usually be seen.

The Maine Conservation Corps built the bog bridges, and volunteers from College of the Atlantic and the Ellsworth Rotary have donated materials and their time to put some of the finishing touches on the Indian Point property.
