The Carousel Trail (1.3 miles) is a lollipop trail, with a short stem trail that runs out from the parking area and connects to a loop. True to its name, the Carousel travels over rugged, rolling terrain, then loops around to return to the parking area via the short stem trail. The Morse Pond Trail provides an optional extension (0.7 miles one way) as a spur off of the Carousel Trail loop, leading west to the threshold of Morse Pond itself.
Morse Pond Preserve connects to other conserved properties, including Reid State Park, which combine to form a nearly 1,800-acre block of permanently conserved natural lands. These lands provide habitat for diverse fauna and flora, and rewarding outdoor recreation opportunities.

The entrance to the small gravel parking lot is on the right. The Reid State Park entrance gate is 0.25 mile south of the preserve's trailhead.
