The Popple Hill Preserve protects over three miles of the Narraguagus River. The trails meander through mixed forests of oak, maple, and ash. The Popple Trail is one mile long, ending at the banks of the Narraguagus River. The Oak Loop Trail breaks off from the Popple trail to the north 0.1 miles from the trailhead, creating the option of a 0.7 mile loop from the trailhead. The Oak Trail provides an additional one mile loop through the woods, beginning 0.6 miles from the trailhead along the Popple Trail.

Downeast Salmon FederationThe trailhead is accessed through Wyman's blueberry fields. From US-1 in Cherryfield, head north on ME-193. Go 8.7 miles and take a left onto the Wyman's property, taking the fork to the right. After 0.5 miles bear left at the Y, and at the next major Y 0.4 miles later bear left again. Continue straight, sticking to the right around a small pond 0.6 miles later. The trailhead is a half mile from the pond.
