The railroad trail provides non-motorized access to recreation fields through mature pine forest. At the northern end of the trail the Old Maine Central Railroad line is visible as well as a stream crossing.

Town of PolandFrom the junction of White Oak Hill Road and ME Route 26 head north on ME Route 26 for 0.3 miles until the Poland Community School is visible on the right. Take a right on the last entrance into the school. The entrance to the trail should be visible on the northwest corner of the parking lot.
