Description

The 1.5-mile loop trail to the north can be access from the Randall Road or Colonial Marketplace/Hannaford trailheads. An additional 2-mile loop to the south is accessed from the Dingley Spring Road trailhead. Birds and other wildlife abound in this quiet preserve. The trails travel through forest around abundant wetlands with winter views of the orchard, offering a different experience in each season.

Randall Orchards is a working apple orchard and vegetable market surrounded by forest owned by Robert and Julie Randall. The first trail opened in 2018 thanks to the Randall family opening the forested lands around their orchard to the public year round for trail use.

Trail Tips

Dispose of Waste Properly
Keep Maine green and clean! Pick up trash, even if it's not yours. Leave soon-to-be trash like excess packaging, stickers, and twist ties at home.

Trailhead Information

There are three trailheads:

  1. The back corner of the parking lot for the Colonial Marketplace/Hannaford in Standish on ME-25. Turn into the parking area, drive to the end of the building, and then turn right around the building. You will see trail postings here.
  2. There is access to the preserve on the northwest side of Randall Road, at the entrance to the orchard off of ME-25 in Standish. Look for the preserve and trail sign marking the trailhead.
  3. Dingley Spring Road in Gorham - look for the preserve and trail sign. Parking is along the road shoulder.
