Description

The Skowhegan River's Edge Bike Park is a short, machine-built lollipop loop through the woods in Debe Park along the western shore of the Kennebec River. There are multiple stations with optional boardwalks and bridges to test the skills of more advanced riders. The downhills have both dirt and boardwalk berms to make for fun, swoopy descents.

Trail Tips

Dispose of Waste Properly
Dispose of solid human waste in a cathole 6-8 inches deep and at least 200 feet from water, camp, or trails. Don't forget to cover it up when you're done!

Trailhead Information

Parking is available on Joyce Street on the left before the Water District building. From the parking area, follow the paved Debe Park River Walk to the Bike Park trailhead, which will be on your left.

If riding from downtown Skowhegan, ride to Patten Court, which leads to the Kennebec River off of US Route 2/Water Street and is roughly 75 feet west of where Russell Street breaks away from Water Street. Continue down Patten Court to the river and cross the river using the foot bridge. Turn left onto Mount Pleasant Avenue. The trailhead for the Debe Park River Walk will be about 100 yards further on your left. Follow the paved trail to the Bike Park trailhead, which will be on your right.
