The Gowen Loop is 0.6 miles long, with a quarter mile along the river, and leads to Sprague's Falls itself. The Tote Road Trail is 0.8 miles in length, travelling through the woods on a former road.
The Boar’s Nest Camp can be booked year round. It is water access only, so bring your kayak or canoe for this adventure.

Downeast Salmon FederationFrom US-1 in Cherryfield, go west on ME-182 for 1.9 miles, and turn right onto Spragues Falls Road. Three miles down Spragues Falls Road there is a small marked parking lot on the left, at the trailhead for the Tote Road Trail. The trailhead for the Gowen Loop, the trail to the Falls, is 170 feet farther down the road on the right.
