The University Bike Paths are paved pathways reserved for non-motorized uses. They connect the University of Maine campus in Orono to Old Town through the DeMeritt University Forest, along fields, passing nearby the university's research farm. Because the paths are paved and relatively flat with few exceptions, these are highly accessible trails suitable for any age or ability level.
The University Bike Path also provides connections and access to the many other woods roads, single track, and ski trails that make up the DeMeritt Forest trail system.
