Description

Three stacked loop trails allow access to this fascinating wet meadow. Trails are wide and easy to follow, meandering under cover of conifers and through open areas. The back fields are full of interesting wildflowers, including common cottongrass and a few native orchids. Wild cranberries and blueberries can be found in places along the trail. Visitors in the spring and fall should wear rubber boots - the paths can become quite wet. In winter, the wide trails are ideal for a gentle cross-country ski (ungroomed).

Information about the property history and a printable trail map can be found on the Scarborough Land Trust website.

Other Information

Bikes are not allowed at Warren Woods due to wet trail conditions. Dog owners: your pup must be leashed or under voice control at all times; this is a sensitive ecological area - pack out all dog waste to help preserve water quality along the Nonesuch River.

Hunting is allowed on the property during Maine hunting seasons. Please wear blaze orange during these times.
