Explore the history of the town of Rangeley and the surrounding plantations from the first settlers, through the gilded age to the 1960's.
The
Main Street Museum focuses on the general history of the Rangeley Region including the Civil War period, the hotel era, sporting camps, railroad travel to Rangeley, town businesses, early founding families, steam boats, and local schools.
It also houses an early collection of bird eggs including that of a Passenger Pigeon.
Open Wednesday through Sunday from end of June through Labor Day. Hours are 11am - 2pm. Open Saturdays only in September.

Residents from Rangeley and Rangeley Plantation get in free with I.D.
Veterans also are free as are children under 12.
