The loop trail travels through woodlands and moss-covered ground. It rises over Robbins Hill before circling back east towards the trailhead.
In 2011, a group of 85 local residents donated the funds to purchase this property to establish a public hiking opportunity, as well as the first public access to the Georges River for the Town of Cushing.

Georges River Land TrustFrom US-1 in Thomaston, head south on Wadsworth Street. Continuing straight, this will turn into Brooklyn Heights Road, then River Road, then Pleasant Point Road. The Preserve is located 9 miles down from US-1, and 3 miles down from the intersection with Lower Cross Road. There is a small parking lot on the west side of Pleasant Point Road.
