This tranquil trail offers visitors the opportunity to see birds and wildlife, enjoy a quiet walk to the Kennebec River, and enjoy the shade offered by towering white pines and eastern hemlocks. The trail travels through a wooded area for 0.2 miles before reaching a loop. The 0.4 mile loop winds towards the river and along a back channel, before returning to the trail leading back to the parking area.

Go 3 miles south on East River Road. Just past the intersection with Eaton Mountain Road look for the preserve sign and driveway on the right.
