AMC grooms 90 miles of interconnected ski trails around and linking their wilderness lodges. The trails are open to the public. The ski trails around Gorman Chairback Lodge circumnavigate Long Pond and traverse the flanks of the Barren-Chairback range. They are mostly rated as easy, except for the access trail to the Gorman Glades. For a detailed map that includes trail names, click here.
Care should always be taken when crossing frozen waterways in the winter. Check in online for up-to-date conditions before you use the trails.
Gorman Chairback Lodge features private cabins and a bunkhouse as well as fresh-cooked breakfast and dinner. For more information about the lodge, visit AMC's website.
