The Sedge Ridge Loop Trail starts between the Wing farmhouse foundation and the maple sap lines. It passes through a former pasture, that is now dominated by a 60-70 year old white pine stand and an understory of blue ridge sedge, before climbing to the ridge.
From the high point of the ridge (elevation 680 feet) there are views over Echo Lake, Mill Pond, and Kents Hill. The stone ledges here support an abundance of plant diversity, with many sedges, ferns, and native wildflowers.

From the Fayette general store, head north on ME-17 for 2.5 miles. Turn left on Fayette Corner Road then take an immediate left onto Norton Road. Continue for half a mile to the parking
area marked with a KLT sign. The trailhead is near the historic Wing farmhouse foundation on the opposite side of the road.
