The white-blazed Norman Van Horn Trail forms a 0.9 mile loop around the property, including a section along the east shore of Tibbetts Pond. The blue-blazed Golden Crowned Kinglet Trail extends from the southwest corner of the Norman Van Horn Trail 0.2 miles down to a wonderful wetland viewing location.

In May 2010, ornithologist Jeff Wells documented 75 species of birds utilizing the area.
