A gentle woodland walk on a 0.3 mile, blue-blazed trail leads to the Pemaquid Pond shoreline. The shore of the pond boasts broad vistas, rocky outcrops, sandy beaches and wooded shores. Along the shoreline are prime examples of native vegetation that prevents erosion and protects the health of the pond. A yellow-blazed trail loops through the woods to the southwest, meeting up with the blue-blazed trail again along an old woods road.
Please note: The water access from the pond at the end of the spur trail and at the island are to be avoided during loon nesting season (mid-May to mid-July).
