The trails provide an easy, quite walk in the forest through grand, old trees.
From Fernald Road, the trail heads southwest through the woods and across a power line clearing, reaching a yellow blazed loop trail after 0.5 miles. The loop, blazed yellow, is 0.5 miles in length, and connects to an additional out-and-back 0.3 mile trail.
During spring or times of heavy rainfall, some areas of the trail may be wet and muddy; however the wettest parts of the trail are traversed by sturdy bridges.
Kittery Land Trust (KLT) is a member supported non-profit organization dedicated to working creatively with landowners, citizens, the Town of Kittery, and neighboring conservation organizations to conserve and steward important natural areas that improve the quality of life in Kittery. Public access trails are maintained by volunteers and supported by membership dues and donations.
KLT asks that you carry out what you carry in and "leave no trace". Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the preserve. Dogs are welcome on leash.
