The preserve offers a fun place to swim, slide, and picnic. A short path leads from the parking and picnic area to the cascading falls on the Pleasant River, amid 14 acres of scenic land. From the falls, an additional trail runs both north and south along the west bank of the Pleasant River. Saco Falls is open to public access and recreation, and also serves to protect habitat for the endangered Atlantic salmon.
Developed in partnership with the Town of Columbia, DSF owns a Conservation Easement for the Town-owned Saco Falls Park.
