The trail begins at the end of Carter’s Beach Road and meanders through the woods to the Point Road and back to the beach. The trailhead is marked with FBC’s blue diamond trail markers and the trail itself is marked with blue paint blazes. The preserve contains 17.9 acres on the east shore of Hancock Point, including woodland, a tidal salt pond and shore frontage on Frenchman Bay.

Frenchman Bay ConservancyFrom US Route 1 in Hancock head south on Point Road for 4.5 miles. Turn left onto Wharf Rd and continue for 0.2 miles. Park by the Hancock Point boathouse and walk north along Carter’s Beach Road for 0.6 miles.
