Lying along the tidal Salmon Falls River and bordered by Shorey’s Brook, Savage Wildlife Preserve’s mix of woods and fields, tidal and fresh water shoreline provides some of the most diverse habitat in the area. Simone Savage bequeathed this 26-acre property to GWRLT to ensure that it remains a haven for the wildlife she treasured.
A comfortable stroll for all ages, this 3/4 mile loop trail meanders through woods and meadowlands. Bald eagles fly overhead and the property is a destination for sea and bay ducks, shorebirds, and upland bird species. Over 120 bird species have been sighted here.
Dogs are not allowed.
