This short gravel-surfaced trail follows the Fish River for 0.2 miles and ends at a small sheltered picnic table. The trail has nice views of town and the river and can be a great addition to a longer walk. It is also a nice spot to walk to for a picnic by the water.

Town of Fort KentThe nearest public parking is the Fort Kent Blockhouse, a historic site at the confluence of the Fish and St. John Rivers. From the intersection of Pleasant Street and Main Street, drive north on US-1/ME-161/Main Street for 0.3 miles. Turn left onto Blockhouse Road and continue for 500 feet where parking is available on the right. To access the trailhead from there, walk out Blockhouse Road, turn left onto East Main Street and cross the bridge. The trailhead is on the right immediately after the bridge.
Accessing the trail from this location requires a user to cross a mowed lawn belonging to Acadia Federal Credit Union. Alternatively, trail users can turn left after the bridge, descend a set of stone steps to the riverbank in this location, turn left again and cross underneath the Fish River Bridge. Footing is uncertain here, so caution is advised. Scout Point Trail is located directly ahead of you.
Parking is also available at Riverside Park, accessed via Dufour Street (immediately adjacent to Thibodeau's Insurance).
