The 44-acre Seawards Mills Conservation Area features 3,800 feet of shoreline along the Seawards Mills Stream, which used to be the location of four mills that utilized the stream's power on its 3-mile descent from Three Mile Pond to Webber Pond. In May, hikers should be on the lookout for alewives migrating up the stream. The property also includes 15 acres of agricultural fields. While the trail is relatively short, visitors have the opportunity to experience multiple habitats with animal residents ranging from deer to songbirds to amphibians.
Prior to the implementation of mills along the stream, the Abenaki people used the area extensively for hunting and fishing.
