From the primary parking lot on ME-237, walk south through conserved woodlands towards Otter Ponds for 1.2 miles following Sebago to the Sea Trail signs. At Otter Ponds, the Sebago to the Sea Trail joins the Mountain Division Trail, an improved rail trail that will one day stretch 52 miles from Fryeburg to Portland.
Side trail option: not far from ME-237 take the side trail west to the Portland Water District Ecology Center where there is a nature trail and exhibits about protecting Sebago Lake's water quality.
From the alternate parking at Johnson Field, follow the unpaved gated road section of the Mountain Division Trail through forested Portland Water District lands to meet up with the Sebago to the Sea Trail. Numerous side trails depart from this section of the Mountain Division Trail and extend north to Otter Ponds.

The primary parking lot for this section of the Sebago to the Sea trail is a gravel pull-off located on ME-237/White Rock Road about one-quarter mile east of ME-35. The lot is on the south side of the road and is marked by a Portland Water District kiosk. Please fill out a permit at the kiosk.
Alternative parking at Johnson Field on ME-35 (just north of the ME-114 intersection) is on the right side of the road, just south of the railroad tracks. Parking is located at the northeast corner of the lot. Look for the Portland Water District kiosk and please fill out a PWD permit.
