Three miles of trails comprise the Unity College Forest Trails Network locate in Unity College’s 100 acres of wooded outdoor classroom. Open for hiking, snowshoeing and X-C skiing in the winter, the trails meander through quiet groves of mature forests sprinkled with new growth areas emerging from the effects of the ice storm in the late 90’s. Easy access from several points on campus and plenty of parking. The back portion of the trails is connected to the State of Maine ITS trail network.
This trail passes through a property that was acquired in part with funds from the Land for Maine’s Future program. For more information about the LMF program and the places it has helped to protect, please visit the LMF webpage.

A gorgeous little trail.
The community bikeway across the street from the fairgrounds loop was also flat and pretty.
Be careful of the short patch of poison ivy along the trail behind the school house.
Tried the Bartlett trail to Unity pond.
No maintenance in a long time, the boardwalk is VERY rotten.
Trail was overgrown and impossible to walk.
It may be better once into the woods but….
May try again this winter.
