Description

With over 30 miles of groomed ski trails, there is something for everyone at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center. Beginning skiers can make loops on the easier trails right from the lodge while more advanced skiers can go farther on the many intermediate trails. Expert skiers will enjoy the strenuous climbs and screaming downhills found on the expert loops. All the trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing. For trail pass prices, visit the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center website

The lodge area has plenty of room for warming up, a retail and rental shop (lessons also available!) and the Bull Moose Cafe for post-ski lunch and cocoa. If you haven't had enough, there is also an ice-skating rink just outside the lodge area.

Other Information

Trail Tips

Plan Ahead and Prepare
Use common sense. If it seems like a bad idea, it probably is.

Trailhead Information

From the south, drive north on ME-16/27. Five miles after the center of Carrabassett Valley, turn left onto Touring Center Road. There is a large sign for the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, but it comes up fast so be on the look out. Drive 0.4 miles up Touring Center Road to the parking lots and lodge.
