The Young’s Point Trail heads north from the trailhead, following the shoreline 0.4 miles to Young’s Point Beach at the north of the parkland. The trail also provides access to the Young Point Picnic Pavilion 1,000 ft from the trailhead, which offers long views to the north and south over South Bay.
The Bay to Bay Trail follows the shoreline of South Bay south for 1,400 feet and turns inland passed an old cellar surrounded by mature cedars. From here it climbs to the center of Denbow Neck through groves of low juniper and blueberry. After 0.8 miles the trail meets up with the half-mile Straight Bay Loop, which descends to then follows the shore of Morrison Cove, offering access to the shore of Straight Bay.
The firm gravel of Huckins Beach allows for easy water access to South Bay during any tide level, and is used by clammers who use the beach to launch their clamming boats.
Huckins Beach & Morrison Cove are open from May to October. They are a part of Cobscook Shores, a system of fifteen waterfront parks that are privately owned and/or maintained by Cobscook Shores INC., a family funded Maine charitable foundation. The parklands offer public access and recreational use including walking, picnicking, hiking, biking, camping, and paddling in Cobscook Bay.
CAMPING
The parkland includes five walk-in tent sites, located in Huckins Meadow. During summer and fall, the tent sites are available on a first-come, first serve basis; no reservations.

Go 5 miles west on ME-189, from it's intersection with Washington Street in Lubec, to it's intersection with Crows Neck Road on the right. Or, go 5.6 miles east on ME-189 from it's intersection with US-1 in Whiting, to Crows Neck Road on the left.
Head north on Crows Neck Road for 0.4 miles and turn right on Lead Mine Road, then after just 0.2 miles turn left on Straight Bay Road. Continue 4.5 miles north to a road on the right that will bring you to the parking lot for the trailheads and tent sites.
